St Anne’s choristers welcomes children between 7 and 14 years old to learn how to sing in a traditional church setting at St Anne’s Church, Derby.
Rehearsals take place at St Anne’s Church, Whitecross Street, Derby on Tuesdays and Fridays from 5pm – 6:15pm during term time. Find out more about the choir here.
Membership of St Anne’s Choristers is free of charge to all children. We are funded generously by the Ouseley Church Music Trust and the Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament as well as other donors.
How to join
To have your child become a member of the St Anne’s choristers, please get in touch with the director, Elin Heron, by emailing stanneschoristers@gmail.com. You would be most welcome to sit in on a rehearsal or have your child try out a few sessions before committing. There is no audition and children are not expected to sing by themselves in order to join.
Upon your child becoming a member of the choir, you will be asked to fill in a membership and permission forms.
Attending Rehearsals
Children are encouraged to attend rehearsals on Tuesdays and Fridays, but we understand that life gets busy! We are happy to have a conversation about time commitments if you are concerned so please do get in touch.
